Op 15 maart 2018 is het PDM Platform meeting te gast bij Philips HealthTech in Best. Op de agenda staat het Accelerate! programma van Philips centraal waarin de aandacht vooral is gericht op de standaardisatie en versimpeling van processen om sneller, innovatiever en meer ondernemend te worden. Om dit te ondersteunen wordt een geïntegreerd IT-landschap gebouwd waarbij het gebruik van real-time data wordt geoptimaliseerd. Als onderdeel van dit programma wordt ook het PLM landschap veranderd om de flexibiliteit in de productontwikkeling te kunnen ondersteunen. De meeting eindigt met een presentatie/demonstratie over de model based enterprise waarbij 3D data de basis van de processen vormt.Geïnteresseerde kunnen voorafgaand aan de meeting aan een rondleiding in het Customer Visit Center deelnemen om zich een beeld te vormen van Philips HealthTech en de producten. Het aantal deelnemers is beperkt tot 30. Registratie voor de rondleiding gebeurt op volgorde van inschrijving.

    Today’s fast changing world requires flexibility in product development to deliver the right products for the customers at the right moment in time. This flexibility needs to be managed and require more focus and support of other activities than often common today in the PLM domain.

In this session will be looked at:

• Managing the development activities using integral Portfolio Management and Product Development management (SAFe/Agile and traditional Project Management)
• The supporting IT applications and the integration with the Product Lifecycle management system.
• Managing the design of the product with an important role for Requirement Management and the need for a tight integration with the PLM system

    Model Based Definition, or MBD, the 3-D model is the master, rather than the 2-D drawing. It makes the 2-D drawing creation optional, as all information historically displayed in a 2-D drawing is placed into the 3-D model. MBD helps to reduce a product’s time to market as well as increase the reuse of information within an enterprise.

Before you switch to use MBD/MBE we talk about the process. How we handle that, we use the PLM Value Assessment, a methodology to define the starting point for MBD/(MBE-PLM) rollout based on business value.

Live demo: how easy it is to make MBD models, and how to convert existing drawings automatically to MBD or MBE models. Includes measurement reports direct from a 3D model. Don’t forget, the basic thing for MBE and MBD is the process.
